Mission
Anjos do Brasil is a not-for-profit organization to encourage angel investing in support of innovative entrepreneurial projects. We act on three fronts with a view to sharing skills, experiences and business opportunities for angel investors and entrepreneurs:
· Supporting the formation of investment networks;
· Passing on skills and helping to create a risk capital investment culture; and
· Working with government to formulate and execute public policies in support of innovative entrepreneurial projects.
The guiding principle of our activity is to connect all the agents of the entrepreneurial community.

Angel investing has great potential to boost development in Brazil, by creating companies with high added value and impact. Some examples of this type of company are Apple, Google, Facebook and Fedex in the USA, and Bematech and Buscapé in Brazil. An angel investor invests his skills, experience and relationships in addition to the financial resources needed to set up a new company. This substantially increases the chances of success of a business and accelerates its growth. Apart from skilled jobs, it creates knowhow and technology for the country.

IMPORTANT: Anjos do Brasil does not itself invest or manage third party funds, nor does it recommend or act as broker for any investment. No charge is made for an investment, and we do not endorse entrepreneurs or investors. Therefore we cannot give any warranty or accept any responsibility: we simply put angel investors in touch with entrepreneurs so that they can make their own analysis and negotiate directly. BACKGROUND

Anjos do Brasil was founded by Cassio A. Spina, an electronics engineer who graduated from the USP Polytechnic School. He has been an entrepreneur for 25 years. He was the founder of Trellis, a company specializing in products and solutions for data and voice communication networks.
After completing the entire cycle – incorporation, startup, growth, mergers and acquisitions, funding and sale – he started to operate as an angel investor, helping new companies obtain the funds they needed for startup and growth.
Seeing a demand for information on angel investing, on the part of both investors and entrepreneurs, he decided to transform his blog into an organization for sharing skills and best practices, and to connect angel investors with entrepreneurs, with the support and participation of important partners and collaborators. He works entirely on an unpaid, voluntary basis for Anjos do Brasil, since he believes that angel investors can make a significant contribution to Brazil’s economy.
